Do we need laws, given that so many people break them?
It’s tempting to believe that if we abolished marriage, we would thus get rid of divorce. While that is true, that’s throwing the baby out with the bathwater. Rampant and reckless divorce is the problem, not marriage.
You don’t fix what’s broken by throwing it away.
