How can I prevent a divorce, if I am mentally unfit to go through it?

How can I refuse to divorce my wife now, as I just lost my sister, and my wife told me just before my sister died, that I will never see my child again? Can I refuse and wait some time, as not fit mentally now at all?

In the age of no-fault divorce, there is no legal authority I am aware of that would empower you to prevent your wife from proceeding with a divorce case against you. You may object to your wife filing for divorce, you may not want a divorce, but you cannot prevent your wife from obtaining a divorce, if she wants one.

Could you delay divorce proceedings on the basis that you are not mentally fit/competent to participate? Nothing prevents you from trying, but I am not aware of any legal authority for the proposition that you can get a court to slow or stop divorce proceedings because you are not mentally or emotionally prepared for it.
