Hiring an attorney is not required to get a divorce in Utah.
A DIY divorce is achievable.
There are different options open to you.
Utah Courts Resources
If you or if you and your spouse want to do it all by yourself, you have that option. One of the best resources are MyPaperwork and The Self-Help Center, which are provided by the Utah State Courts.
If you determine that you need or would benefit from an attorney’s help with answering your questions and working your way through the divorce paperwork and court processes, Utah Family Law offers this assistance.
DIY Divorce Workshops
Whether you want help with a DIY contested or uncontested divorce, Utah Family Law’s DIY divorce workshops help you understand the laws and the process, so that you make informed decisions, giving you more confidence and peace of mind.
